This fall we are welcoming a new co-leader to our group. Zane was part of a larger babywearing group in Pittsburgh before moving here. She has two gorgeous girls. We are excited to have her ideas and help with our group!
Bayside Babywearers is a local group committed to educating the public and other parents about the benefits of babywearing.
Bayside Babywearers was started by two moms who wear our children and wanted to spread the word! Shawn and I connected through The Babywearer.com website and then through the Michigan Natural Parenting community we started chatting with the leaders of established babywearing groups in Grand Rapids and Detroit. We started tossing around the idea of a similar group in Traverse City. My son and I drove down to Grand Rapids to attend one of their meetings and see how this whole thing worked! It was wonderful to meet a whole group of other like minded parents and we came home and started working on our group right away!
Shawn is a working mom to two beautiful girls. She now lives in the Midland area and is helping out moms in her new community.
I (Krista) am a stay at home mom to one, also beautiful ;) , boy who just started Kindergarten and a 2 year old girl.
